Sun Rock Yoga offers a variety of yoga and pilates classes each week. We also offer several yoga teacher training courses every year. But throughout the year, we host a variety of retreats and workshops. These are designed to help you take your practice and teaching one step further. Many of these are taught by our own talented instructors, either in our St George yoga studio or in nearby parks and other venues.

Practice Yoga Without Injury
On Friday, September 29, from 5 PM to 7 PM, instructor Camille will be hosting a “Practice Yoga Without Injury” workshop. During this two-hour event, she’ll guide you through alignments and techniques designed to help you nurture your body and those of your own students.
The ultimate goal is to help you cultivate a yoga practice that honors your body, thereby preventing injuries, and allowing for a sustainable yoga journey.
Cues and Adjustments
Also on Friday, September 29, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Camille will be hosting a “Cues and Adjustments” workshop at our yoga studio. In this session, you’ll deepen your understanding of poses and get personalized guidance to perfect and refine your alignment. This class is great for enriching your own yoga practice by helping you learn precise cues and adjustments. In turn, you’ll leave more empowered to guide others in their own safe, effective yoga journey.

Instructor Ryan will be hosting a “Mobility/Budokon Yoga” workshop on Saturday, September 30, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This two-hour session is a great opportunity to experience Budokon yoga.
Budokon yoga is a style of yoga that combines elements of yoga, martial arts, calisthenics, and mobility training. Created in the early 2000s, Budokon yoga is physically challenging. It is designed to blend modern mixed movement techniques with self-inquiry.
This unique yoga style is great for building strength and mobility. You’ll strengthen not only your body, but also your mind and soul. You’ll leave this workshop with a new perspective on yoga.
Take your yoga practice outside with this next St George Utah yoga retreat. On Friday, October 27, instructor Chelsie will be leading students on a guided hike and outdoor yoga experience. You’ll begin with a gentle hike right here in St. George, just a short distance from our yoga studio. Then, you’ll enjoy a gentle Yoga Flow. Breathe deeply as you take in the incredible red rock desert that surrounds you.

Yin Yoga Vs. Restorative Yoga
Many of our Sun Rock Yoga retreats and workshops are designed to help teaching students and experienced yoga instructors to better serve their own students. However, many of the classes can also be beneficial in your own yoga practice.
Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga share many similarities. Understanding the core differences can help you to better understand these unique styles of yoga. It can also help you to be better prepared to practice them, either on your own or with your own yoga students.
On Saturday, October 30, instructor Jolynn will lead a workshop examining the difference between Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. You’ll discuss the history and motivations of each type of yoga. You’ll also get to experience these practices through a variety of poses. Leave the class with a greater understanding of both Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga. This St George Utah yoga retreat will go from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Creative Sequencing & Meditation
On Friday, November 17, from 5 PM to 7:30 PM, instructor Camille will be leading another St George Utah yoga retreat, called “Creative Sequencing & Meditation.” In this workshop, you’ll learn how to craft dynamic and unique yoga sequences.
During this session, you’ll develop new methods for elevating your practice and inspiring others through your sequences. The workshop will end with meditation, where you’ll not only have a chance to meditate yourself but will also gain some new insights into diverse meditation techniques that you can use in your own teaching.
Take your yoga practice to new heights with “Flight Club!” This two-hour workshop will be led by instructor Ryan on Saturday, November 18 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. You’ll learn how to properly prepare for arm balances, allowing you to safely build and progress in your own personal yoga practice.
A long, rewarding yoga journey begins with safe technique to prevent injuries. This workshop will be a great chance to learn new techniques to ensure that you are practicing many common and challenging poses in a safe way.
Wim Hof Method
The Wim Hof Method is a practice that’s designed to align your body and mind in a natural, harmonious state. It combines breathing techniques, cold therapy, and mental exercises. This combination is designed to help you better sync your mind and body. This leads to better sleep, less stress, greater focus, and improved immunity.
Instructor Ryan will be leading a workshop on the Wim Hof Method on Saturday, November 18, from 1 PM to 4 PM. Join this workshop to begin learning how to practice the Wim Hof Method and apply its strategies to your life and yoga practice.
Yoga and Business
If you’re working to build your own yoga business and gain a following, this is one Sun Rock Yoga retreat that you won’t want to miss.
On Saturday, December 2, from 8 AM to 11 AM, instructor Camille will be leading a “Yoga and Business” workshop. This three-hour session is designed to guide you through what you need to know to create and build your brand as a yoga instructor.
