Summer Solstice – Yoga, Japa Meditation, & sound healing

Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and offers the opportunity to reflect on the first half of the year and to look forward to what you can accomplish with the year ahead. 
 
Join me in a special practice of inner reflection and awakening your inner radiance. 
 
This practice combines pranayama, vinyasa, and kriya to bring your mind, body, and soul into a balanced state. These techniques are designed to awaken your physical and subtle body, uplift and elevate your spirit, and elevate you to a higher state of consciousness. 
 
The physical practice followed by Japa meditation of repeating a mantra 108 times using a mala bead necklace. The mala beads will be provided for the class and as a gift to take with you. 
 
Mantra is a tool to achieve a meditative state, or silence. The science of mantra is based on the knowledge that sound is a form of energy with a specific structure and effect. When repeated they promote harmony and attune us to a higher energy. 
 
We will complete the practice with a sound bath using a blend of multicultural instruments, set with an intention to offer a profound meditative , cleansing, and healing experience.

Join Jennifer for this powerful practice of 108 Sun Salutations as you welcome in the season of summer! She will lead you in 4 rounds of 27 to equal the symbolic number 108. 
 
The practice of 108 Sun Salutations is believed to generate an internal heat which can aid in a feeling of detox to help you feel more connected to your inner self. This vigorous practice activates Prana and initiates upward energy or upward movement allowing you to move energy and emotions that may feel stuck. 
 
This practice can be a very transformative experience and will teach you personal insight of your strength, resilience, and inner power which may help you have a shift of perspective. This shift of perspective may help you to recognize the beauty you have experienced during this year thus far, and help you to see what you must do in the months to come to reach your goals. Join Jennifer to welcome in the season of summer and shift your gaze to what is possible in your near future.

Interested in checking out our studio? Stop by on June 7th for free mini-classes all afternoon. Meet with some of our amazing teachers and try a variety of different offerings including both yoga and reformer pilates (limited spaces available).
