A Different Kind of Yoga Retreat
Yoga retreats all too often have a reputation for being serious events reserved for experienced, dedicated yogis. While retreats are a great chance to grow or hone your yoga practice, this reputation can make them intimidating and inaccessible for many women. Whether you aren’t confident in your yoga skills or you’re worried about finding acceptance among other retreat participants, you may think that retreats aren’t an option for you.
Sun Rock Yoga retreats are different. We’re on a mission to host yoga retreats in Utah that help all women to feel accepted and embraced for who they are, and where they are at in their yoga journey.
Our Elevated Women’s Retreat is a chance to connect with other women who, like you, want time to learn and grow, and to become a little better than they were yesterday. We’re embracing growth and change, but without the pressure or expectation of perfection you might expect at other yoga retreats. Whether in a yoga class or a meditation session, don’t be afraid to try something new—your instructors and retreat companions are here to support you!
Reach Higher. Climb Higher. And Don’t Do It Alone
The Elevated Women’s Retreat will take place October 27-29, 2022. Participants will be staying at the beautiful Holmstead Ranch Resort, which is just 35 minutes from our St. George yoga studio. With stunning views of Pine Valley Mountain, this boutique ranch resort offers guests a mix of adventure and relaxation. While it may be just a short drive away, you’ll feel as though you’re worlds away during your retreat.
During our three-day St. George Utah yoga retreat, you’ll enjoy a mix of activities, including yoga and pilates classes, nature walks and hikes, meditation sessions, and more. All activities are optional, allowing each guest to customize their experience.
You’ll have a chance to work on various breathwork techniques, including Wim Hof and Breath is Medicine. Engage in relaxing and stimulating sound baths. Learn about the practice of Kintsugu from Kelbie Sorensen, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the cracks and breaks with lacquer mixed with gold, silver, or platform; an important lesson in embracing our flaws and imperfections, and seeing how they can help us grow! Enjoy delicious, healthy meals that help fuel your body and give you the energy you need for your classes.
One thing that sets our event apart from other yoga retreats in Utah are our educational opportunities. Go beyond your yoga practice and attend lectures on a variety of topics designed to help you change your mindset and become the very best version of yourself. Lecture topics will include:
- What does it mean to Level Up?
- Learning about intentional spaces and rituals or habits
- Developing a healthier mindset
- How to fill your personal reservoir of health and wealth in order to give to others
- Learning the language of flowers and how to use flowers to heal with Two Wild Wallflowers
Get Inspired By Our Incredible Teachers and Instructors
Just as you’ve come to expect from your favorite St. George yoga studio, all classes, lectures, and other activities will be led by supportive, friendly, and outgoing teachers and instructors.
Some of the staff at our Utah yoga retreat will be the instructors you’ve come to love in our studio, including JoLynn Slade, Ryan Bean , Sunhee Frampton, Camille Zolman, and Sadie Best. Our Japanese Kintsugu course will be taught by Kelbie Sorensen. And a lecture on the language of flowers and how you can use them to heal your mind and body will be taught by the talented team behind Two Wild Wildflowers.
Level Up Together!
This St. George Utah yoga retreat is out to change the image of yoga retreats. We’re ready to welcome women of all ages and backgrounds, as we come together to connect to one another. We’ll get real about our goals and what it takes to achieve them. Through meditation, lectures, and classes, you’ll begin reshaping your mindset and improving your focus. Together, we’ll lift each other up to new heights!
Whether you’re feeling as though you’re stuck in a rut, your goals seem out of reach, or you’re simply ready to take the next step towards positive change, our Sun Rock Yoga retreats are a great way to invest in yourself and your physical and mental growth.
